My takeaways from Inbound 2025
I recently had the incredible opportunity to attend my first Inbound conference in San Francisco. HubSpotβs premier event is the go-to destination for anyone looking to dive deep into digital marketing, covering everything from research and execution to reporting and evaluation. Boasting nearly 400 speakers and just as many sessions, Inbound offers its tens of thousands of attendees a wealth of knowledge tailored to diverse industries and interests. My marketing mind was both overwhelmed and overjoyed! Here are some key takeaways from my experience.
π A Wealth of Content π Inbound is truly expansive, featuring numerous sessions across a vast venue (Hello step count!). There are a lot of people and a lot of peopling required. As an introvert, this was a bit daunting; however, it pushed me out of my comfort zone, allowing me to network with many talented professionals.
π Promoting Inclusion π I was particularly impressed by a special meetup group for Black and Latinx attendees called The Spot. This initiative promotes inclusion, which I found refreshing, engaging, and especially vital in todayβs society. Additionally, many sessions included captions, sign language interpreters, and wheelchair access, ensuring accessibility for all. While these accommodations may seem basic, the efforts to create an inclusive environment were genuinely appreciated.
π Relevant Insights on AI π The content presented was professional, insightful, and highly relevant. As you might suspect, a significant focus was on AI, proving itβs here to stay. Marketing professionals must learn to leverage AI in conjunction with human logic to remain competitive and effectively cut through the noise.
π Diverse Perspectives π The presenters were exceptionally knowledgable, showcasing a diverse lineup of thought leaders in their fields. Each session I attended was well-planned and thoughtfully executed, accentuating the importance of diversity of thought.
π A Bit of Fun π Inbound isnβt just about business; the organizers infused a sense of fun throughout the event. The Hubspot team is upbeat, polite, and extremely helpful. There were visually appealing graphics and lively music. This year, Saturday Night Liveβs Colin Jost performed an after hours comedy set. There was also an engaging and informative session with actor Morris Chestnut on AI and entertainment. And the incomparable Amy Poehler closed out the event in a keynote where, with her signature humor, she shared insightful experiences and motivational advice.
I am truly grateful I attended Inbound. The experience was simply career-changing, reinforcing how far Iβve come in my field while highlighting the importance of continual learning and improvement. Hereβs to knowing better and doing better in all things! π
