The lessons that shape me
I consider myself a lifelong student, not only because I was diligent throughout my primary and undergraduate education, or because my graduate studies led to a published thesis and a deeper understanding of communication, but because learning has always been woven into the fabric of who I am and how I operate. Formal education has been an important part of my life, and I've continued learning through professional organizations and ongoing development throughout my career.
The place I learn the most, every single day, is from other people. I'm grateful for my network that teaches, encourages, and motivates me. I try to listen more than I speak, so I can absorb advice, perspectives, and lived experiences that stretch me in all the best ways. I'm intentional about gathering information and putting it in practice in my own life. No matter what I'm doing, I want the decisions I make to be grounded in clarity and thoughtfulness and to be aligned with who I am at my core. That alignment is how I stay rooted in my authenticity, and ultimately what shapes the professional and person I continue becoming.

My promise to myself is that as I evolve, I continue to give myself permission to be selective about what I allow to shape me, to trust my instincts even when the path feels unfamiliar, and to continue building a strong network that reflects my strengths, my values, and my identity.
Here's to continual improvement.
