Hello EOC Team!

We are excited to announce our new intranet – The Hub – this robust, interactive website is the new central place for us to communicate, collaborate, and connect to improve customer service and help us fulfill our mission, vision, and values.

 Starting today, your internet browser will redirect you from our old intranet, Vetnet, to The Hub. By signing on for work, you will automatically have access to The Hub.

 Now, once you get there, go to the “Onboarding” section below the Christmas tree graphic for best practices and tips on how to use The Hub.

 After onboarding, check out frequently used applications and links in the “Apps” section in the upper right of the screen. Here you’ll find bookmarked access to links that every employee needs like Paycom, IntelliDealer that we know as CDK and the Gear Garage for branded apparel plus many more.

 The “People” tab is just to the left of “Apps” and it is a full company directory listing. Here you can see all employees and click on their name or photo to learn more about them and what they do. ……. We encourage you use the pencil icons on your own profile to share a little bit of work-appropriate information about yourself.

 Next to the “People” table is the “Sites” tab. Here you can find links to webpages of different departments and groups that are relevant to your job. For example, HR is listed under Corporate and that’s where you can find benefits information. Parts is listed under Departments and that’s where you can find the most relevant information is you are a Parts Manager or Parts Specialist.

Finally, the most beneficial aspect of The Hub is its search feature. You can search for any work-related keyword and locate relevant information on the site or even on our company OneDrive and SharePoint network.

So, let’s try searching for this year’s holiday schedule. In the search, we can input “2024 holidays” – an AI generated response will come up at the top. This is just like Google where the site takes the information that’s already on it to generate a “smart answer.” A page created by our HR Team will come up on The Hub; to the right you’ll see related files that outline the company holidays; and if you’ve done your onboarding that we mentioned at the beginning of this video and connected OneDrive and SharePoint, you can find the holiday file on our company server. All in a matter of seconds, you have the answer right at your fingertips!

The intranet project team has done our best to migrate the most relevant information from the old system to The Hub. We’ve added keywords to help enhance the search. But we are not perfect, and the job is not over. If you find something that we’ve mislabeled or something that you think should be added, send us a message using the “Help & Feedback” link in the lower left blue bar of the site. These messages come directly to the IT department and the intranet project team so that we can continually improve this new employee tool.

We are hopeful that The Hub will become an important tool to help make your job a little easier. So, get in there, get connected, and let us know what you think.
